Molson Coors’ craft beer division leader, Paul Verdu, has exited the company, president of emerging growth Pete Marino announced in a company email yesterday.
Verdu’s last day at Molson Coors was Monday.
“Paul has led Tenth and Blake (10B) through a very challenging period given the coronavirus and the impact the pandemic had across the on-premise, a channel where our craft companies over-index,” Marino wrote. “Paul has been a terrific colleague and a friend, and I look forward to continuing to keep in touch with Paul and following his progress in his next role as a leader of a small craft business in Wisconsin.”
Verdu had led Tenth and Blake for the last two and half years, following a similarly lengthened run as the division’s VP of sales and marketing. His time at Molson Coors included a five-month stint as interim president of Saint Archer following more than five years with SABMiller.
Before his second go round at Molson Coors, Verdu served as VP of brand marketing for Constellation Brands’ beer division for four years from May 2007 to June 2011. During his first time with Molson Coors (then MillerCoors), Verdu worked as director of marketing for two and half years.
Molson Coors will work to backfill Verdu’s role with Tenth and Blake, Marino wrote. In the interim, Tenth and Blake senior director of marketing Frank Cirone and the craft presidents “will make sure all programs and plans continue to move forward without delays or disruption,” he added.
