Head Brewer
Needle Creek Farm Brewery
Apply for this Job
Needle Creek Farm Brewery is seeking a head brewer who is creative and inspired to fulfill a foundational role in a field-to-glass experience in Pennington, NJ. Located on John Hart Farms, a scenic working farm in Central New Jersey, Needle Creek appeals to guests from 21-110 years old and their families. No matter what stage of life our guests are in, they will feel at home as they explore the farm and all it has to offer including farm animals, kids play area, sunset hayrides, seasonal farm activities (corn maze, pick your own pumpkins, Christmas trees, etc.), farm fresh meat, and a general store...and there's beer.
At the center of John Hart Farms is a 1700s post and beam barn that has been transformed into the Needle Creek brewery and taproom. We will brew our beer from barley grown on our fields and malted in a local malt house. Our head brewer should be excited to craft innovative and tasty brews using our open fermentation Peter Austin Brick Kettle Brewing System. In an effort to support sustainability, the spent barley, grain, yeast, and hops resulting from the brewing process is used as feed for our animals, and the wastewater is redistributed on our fields to water our crops.
The Needle Creek experience transcends the craft beer we brew. It is a vibrant gathering place where bonds are formed and memories are made. But to make all of this possible, we need to complete our Needle Creek team. Collectively, John, Beth, Gregg, and Jen bring a host of experience in farming, finance and business, running a brewery, and cultivating a dynamic experience and environment for all, but we are missing a key member of our team who will help to define the taste of Needle Creek, our voice in the brewing community. Brewers who are interested in expressing themselves through the art of brewing should contact Gregg at greggmarantz@gmail.com or 609-580-0913.
