CLEVELAND and PHILADELPHIA — Cleveland brewing outfit Platform Beer Co. and Philadelphia-based Free Will Brewing are collaborating on a limited release can to be debuted during Philly Beer Week, beginning June 1. The beer, a Hazy IPA, dubbed “Round Trip 862”, is the first collaborative venture between the two breweries.
Round Trip 862 explodes with juicy tropical fruit, succulent melon and berry preserve aromas. A mild haze, full body and dry finish allow for the bounty of fruit flavors to cascade across the palate in fine fashion ranging from tart and fruity starfruit, lime, and gooseberry to luscious watermelon, citrus supreme and honeydew. The beer comes in at 7.0% abv and 0 IBU. Look for the collaboration in kegs at the Free Willing Tasting Room along with a number of special tapings throughout the region during Philly Beer Week. 12 oz. cans will also be distributed to select account for to-go sales.
