EUGENE, OR – The Oakshire Brewing team is excited to announce the completion of a leadership transition at the Sales Director position. George Graham, a 25-year industry veteran of both the wholesaler and supplier tiers, officially started at Oakshire on Friday, May 18, 2018.
George will provide leadership and support to Oakshire’s three Market Managers, Key Account Manager, wholesaler partners and retail partners. In addition, this role is also responsible for charting the course for geographic expansion of Oakshire’s Pilot and Vintage beers beyond the current footprint of the Pacific Northwest and Colorado. In 2018, Oakshire has returned to growth in the On-Premise and Independent Off-Premise channels of trade. This success is due in part to the leadership and organizational development provided by Jamie Walker, who departed for a role at Deschutes in April.
Most recently, George Graham served as Pabst Brewing Company’s Area Sales Manager for Oregon and Southwest Washington. Prior roles were with MillerCoors and Mt Hood Beverage. Throughout his career, George has developed strong and lasting relationships with business partners and has grown brands through strategic planning and execution. He will join four entrepreneurial and complimentary leaders: Former Math Teacher Jeff Althouse, Founder and CEO; Hospitality Professional and Award-Winning Brewer Dan Russo, Lead Brewer; Former IT Professional and Attorney Tom Moseman, COO; and Hospitality Professional Hannah Child, Public House General Manager.
“Oakshire’s company culture is extremely positive and each team is very productive,” states Jeff Althouse, who has led the company since its inception in October 2006. “Our leadership team works very well together to allocate resources and support our Production, Sales, Public House, and Administrative Teams. George’s organization, calm focus and collaborative leadership style make him a natural fit.”
George Graham and Jeff Althouse both agree that the key to Oakshire’s success going forward is to efficiently communicate Oakshire’s value proposition through each tier of the value chain and to beer drinkers. Oakshire Brewing is a community inspired small batch brewing company that exists to create and share great beer experiences. The company produces an extremely wide array of beer styles all at a very high-quality standard. Oakshire’s portfolio of beers has at least one beer for every beer drinker; from Sun Made Cucumber Berliner Weisse to newly introduced Oakshire Lagerbier, and the style-defining Overcast Espresso Stout, and so many others through the Core, Pilot, and Vintage brewing programs.
