BRIDGEWATER CORNERS, VT — Luce Farm and Long Trail Brewing Company announce a new and exciting collaboration and partnership. These two Vermont-based brands have come together to create a new and innovative, small batch beer. This yet-to-be-named beer will be brewed using CBD honey produced by Luce Farm, and will be released on Labor Day Weekend.
The CBD brew is one of the first of its kind in the Northeast. Initially, this will be a small batch, with the hopes of expanding as market demand increases.
Rebecca Pimentel who is the co-owner of Luce Farm said, “It’s an honor to be able to partner with our favorite VT brands to collaborate on new products and discover how best to introduce people to the benefits of CBD.” She went on to say, “It’s all very exciting!”
Ian Harbage, co-head brewmaster at Long Trail Brewing Company, agreed. “We were very excited when approached by Luce Farm. We weren’t too concerned about the perception—to us, it sounded like a unique and interesting opportunity. It’s a great local connection and a chance for us to try new ingredients and learn from the process.”
When asked about what the reception might be to this new endeavor, Harbage said, “There might be a bit of a public learning curve, but we think that a lot of people will be as excited as we are about the beer.”
CBD is a non psychoactive chemical compound found in cannabis which is gaining wide recognition as a natural and effective alternative to other, synthetic compounds for pain relief, stress, and anxiety, among other conditions. Several small Vermont family farms have begun planting hemp crops and learning about the numerous ways to use CBDs in order to serve the quickly growing CBD market.
The Luce Farm/Long Trail CBD beer collaboration will be available this Labor Day weekend at the tasting room at Long Trail Brewing Company (5520 US Rte. 4 Bridgewater Corners, VT 05035). Joe and Rebecca Pimentel of Luce Farm will be on-site, offering samples of their CBD products and discussing the benefits of CBDs from 1-4pm.
