BOSTON, MA — Backlash Beer Company, which launched in July of 2011, is excited to announce its partnership with the Massachusetts Beverage Alliance to expand distribution statewide beginning this month.
“The Massachusetts Beverage Alliance is very proud and excited to sell, market, and distribute Backlash Beer,” says Brian Murphy of the Mass Bev Alliance. “The local craft beer scene is exploding here in Massachusetts and the passion, support, and, of course, the beer that Helder and Maggie are providing is helping lead this charge!”
The Backlash expansion coincides with the release of its third beer, Declaration.
Declaration is a Belgian Style IPA that packs a hop presence never before seen in this style beer. There is a massive hops profile from a heavy-handed dosing of American hops, yet still enough room for the Belgian yeast to make an appearance. Dark golden in color and light in body, Declaration will dry you out and make you want more with each sip.
In fact, Declaration may just be one of the hoppiest Belgian style beers ever.
“But don’t take our word for it,” says president and founder, Helder Pimentel, “There are a lot of great Belgian style IPAs, but we feel like this is our best beer yet and a truly hoppy interpretation of the style.”
Declaration will be available in 22oz wax sealed bottles and on draft. Backlash initially launched in the greater Boston area with a Belgian Style Blonde Ale, Groundswell, and followed up in the fall with a Super Saison, Convergence.
