Phoenix, AZ. – First order of business, proclaim Arizona Beer Week. Gov. Doug Ducey, only in office less than a month, has officially designated Feb. 12 – 21, 2015 “Arizona Beer Week,” and with the annual celebration now extended to nine days and the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild now boasting more than 60 statewide members, the fifth installment of the popular tourism event promises more events, more networking opportunities and more chances to enjoy Arizona’s explosive craft beer culture.
“The craft beer industry has seen tremendous growth since we first enacted Arizona Beer Week, and it’s only appropriate that our Beer Week celebration would grow right alongside it,” said Rob Fullmer, executive director of the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild. “We’re honored that Gov. Ducey recognizes the remarkable impact that the state’s craft-brewing industry has on both the economy and tourism.”
The nine-day celebration of the state’s signature suds kicks off with the Arizona Strong Beer Festival on Valentine’s Day 2015. Widely regarded as the best spot in the state to sample the rarest, strongest and most sought-after brews, this year’s festival will showcase rare finds, special tappings and one-of-a-kind special collaboration brews from hundreds of the state and nation’s best craft breweries.
The week continues with food pairings, tap takeovers, pub crawls, special giveaways, meet the brewer nights and a plethora of other statewide events that celebrate the uniqueness and inventiveness of Arizona’s craft brewing community.
