SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Brewers have likely encountered Fred Scheer at some point in their brewing life. His wide network and expertise have influenced the craft beer world for almost 30 years. Now Fred is bringing his impressive background to Paul Mueller Company as a Brewing and Process Technology Engineer.
“When I was 15 years young, I started an apprenticeship to become a brewer and maltster. Over the past 5 decades my passion for craft beer has only grown. Paul Mueller Company has the best name in the industry and I want to spread the word about the quality of the people and the equipment at Mueller. It’s good to be here and I’m ready to help our Brewing partners take their process to the next level!”
Fred is a graduate of DOEMENS Academy of Brewing and Malting in Munich, Germany as a brew- and malt-master, and received additional training in Biology and Biochemistry through his service with the German Army.
As an educator at the Master Brewers Association of the Americas (MBAA), Fred will be presenting thought leadership at his next course on “Brewing and Malting Science” in October of this year in Madison, Wisconsin. Fred will also be representing Paul Mueller Company at the Craft Brewers Conference in Nashville in May at booth #800.
