Second Self Beer Company’s Molé Porter Returns

Atlanta, GA — Atlanta-based brewery Second Self Beer Company will bring back its much-loved seasonal Molé Porter (6.5% ABV, 27 IBU) on September 1st. The robust chocolate porter will be available in cans and on draft from September to February. Find the bestselling brew at Second Self’s taproom (1317 Logan Circle NW, Atlanta, GA) and in restaurants, bars, and shops throughout Georgia and Alabama.

Second Self’s Molé Porter was inspired by Co-founder Jason Santamaria’s family recipe for Oaxacan Christmas mole sauce. It’s brewed with Guajillo, Pasella, and Chipotle chilies, cinnamon, cloves, and cocoa nibs. The addition of guajillo in this year’s recipe for the beer brings a more robust and ever so slightly spicier flavor to the beer.

Suggested food pairings for this bold beer include pork or beef tacos, stews and chilies, gruyere cheese, and chocolate desserts.
