Rouleur Brewing Company Releasing 3 New Beers

Carlsbad, CA — Rouleur Brewing Company, the new cycling themed brewery in Carlsbad that specializes in rule bending beers, has announced three new brews for the summer, available from Thursday June 22.

Limited Edition: THE DOPEUR Hazy IPA — With this type of beer also known as a juicy IPA, THE DOPEUR is a tongue-in-cheek play by this cycling themed brewery on the sporting term ‘juicer’ which refers to cyclists who dope. Made hazy through the use of flaked oats, flaked wheat, and a heavy dosing of whirlpool hops and dry hops, THE DOPEUR boasts a Vermont style yeast and is loaded with the intense aroma of tropical fruit but easy, smooth bitterness on the palate – it’s perfectly balanced and highly drinkable!

Special Edition – THE ATHENA — A twist on one of the already popular flagship beers THE DOMESTIQUE, Head brewer, Rawley Macias is using fresh blackberries from Stehly Farms Organic and a secondary fermentation process to create an unforgettable summer blonde. The juicy, sweet berries are a perfect compliment to this already well-rounded, smooth brew that boasts a forward palate of malted milkshake, grain and honey. Hurry, it won’t be available on tap for long!

THE GRIMPEUR on Nitro — a permanent addition from June 23, you’ll be able to try this creamy dark ale on both CO2 and Nitro and taste the difference. This is one of Rouleur’s six signature beers and is so dark it’s almost black. Malt heavy with a chocolatey and dark-caramelly flavor, it also has a very faint roast character.

True to the meaning of the cycling term “Rouleur” (a French word for an all-rounder) Macias doesn’t stick to one style of beer. At Rouleur they specialize in creating hybrid American beers that don’t fit the traditional style guidelines  – something they are very proud of. Creative and inventive –  Rouleur is everything you would expect from a former Engineer.

Rouleur has six signature brews always on tap, The Domestique, The Sprinteur, The Puncheur, The Grimpeur, The Clydesdale and The Soloist. For more information, visit http://rouleurbrewing.com/.
