CINCINNATI — What if you could help cure cancer by drinking beer? Well now’s your chance. The CureStarts Now has partnered once again with Rivertown Brewery to create a custom beer to benefit pediatric brain cancer research. The beer is called Salted Carm-Ale – an ale with delicious caramel flavoring inspired by Lauren Hill, perfect for the fall and winter months. There will be a tapping party on Thursday, November 16 at 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Rivertown Brewery and Barrel House in Monroe (6550 Hamilton Lebanon Road Monroe, OH 45044) to celebrate the creation of Salted Carm-Ale.
“We love The Cure Starts Now, their mission to find a homerun cure and their team. This is the first year that we are packaging our Cure Collab in bottles, in addition to kegs. We are excited to bring awareness across our 6 states of distribution to such an amazing organization,” said Rivertown Dream Facilitator, Lindsey Roeper.
Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy this beer and a wonderful partnership. $1 from every pint of Salted Carm-Ale will benefit The Cure Starts Now and donations to the cause are also welcome. Food will also be available for purchase. Six packs of Salted Carm-Ale will be on store shelves mid-November.
“Rivertown’s commitment to helping kids battling cancer with The Cure Starts Now has been extraordinary. We love working with companies who are so passionate and driven to putting an end to cancer through the homerun cure,” said Brooke Desserich, Executive Director of The Cure Starts Now.
About Salted Carm-Ale
This year, as part of The Cure Starts Now’s Once in a Lifetime Gala, Rivertown donated a “Brewmaster for a Day” exBEERience package and this amazing beer is a result of this collaboration. The flavor was inspired by Lauren Hill, the Mount St. Joseph College basketball player who battled DIPG and became a voice for children everywhere battling cancer and her love for chocolate caramel candies. So let’s raise a glass, raise awareness and find a cure.
