FORT COLLINS, Colo. – On Saturday, August 18th at 11am, the Red Truck Beer Company will open its Truck Stop for business. Located at 1020 Lincoln Ave in Fort Collins, the brewery will open with 18 beers on tap and a full menu.
General Manager, Laird Mulderink has been on board for 7 months in preparation for this day. A former CSU graduate coming from Rockyard Brewing Co in Castle Rock, Mulderink has been overseeing completion of construction, hiring staff, and making sure the brewery and diner are ready for opening day.
Red Truck Beer is brewing their beer with their new 10 barrel small batch system with plans to fire up their 50 barrel system in the next few months. Featuring their approachable flagship line, Red Truck Beer taps will run their Truck Stop Classic Lager, Hard Day Northwest IPA, High Trail Amber Ale, Endless Summer Golden Ale, Czech Point Red Pilsner, and Baja Bound Mexican Lager as well as another 12 specialty beers. Their specialty beers will include their New England Hazy IPA, India Pale Lager, and their Doppelbock – New Kids on the Bock. Patrons can also sample the Black Currant Belgian collaboration beer that Red Truck Beer Company brewed with Funkwerks, CSU, Black Bottle Brewery, CB Potts, and Rally King Brewing.
The Truck Stop fueling station is located in a cargo container and offers a full menu of almost scratch classic favorites such as burgers, foot long hot dogs, poutine + white gravy, wings, green chili cheese fries, and all-day breakfast. There will even be an ice cream beer float.
The Red Truck Beer brand is represented by its vintage red trucks which represent those simpler times when life moved more slowly and people took the time to stop and enjoy the moment. Red trucks of all varieties can be found both inside and outside the Truck Stop. Check out Power Wagon Paul, a 1957 Power Wagon outside on the elevated boardwalk patio. Inside you can find Lucy, a 1941 weapons carrier which hauled guns in World War II. Nighla, a 1957 GMC can be found at the Truck Stop and will soon be spotted around town when Red Truck Beer Company shows up at events across Northern Colorado.
Designed by RB+B Architects and built by Saunders Heath, the Truck Stop includes a host of unique features and incredible attention to detail. Hang out on the spacious indoor/outdoor patios with firepits. Walk up to the patio beer window, grabbing another beer from the reclaimed cargo container bar. Check out the working water tower. Relax listening to live music on the indoor stage. From the 100 year old flooring to the tire sinks in the bathroom, to the viewing windows into the brewery and bottling areas, there is a lot to see at the new Red Truck Beer Company.
