Portland, ME — Peak Organic Brewing is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated rerelease of their newest Fall seasonal, the Hop Harvest Oktoberfest. As harvest season is in full swing, Peak is adding flair to a classic style, showcasing a ripe and bright mix of hops within a classic Oktoberfest.
The Hop Harvest Oktoberfest draws on a Germanstyle lager, using a balanced blend of Munich and Caramel malt that provide a bready, toasty character as well as a light sweetness in the body. The beer is defined, however, by its complementary hop character showcasing Simcoe, Chinook, Centennial, and a touch of Citra hops in the dryhopping phase. Notes of fruit and spice burst through the aroma of the beer, but the finish is phenomenally crisp and dry.
“When the calls from our farms start coming in saying that it’s time for the hops to be picked, it’s honestly the most exciting time of the year for us. We wanted to brew a beer that really captured the essence of what we love about the Fall and the appreciation we have for our farmers,” said brewer/founder Jon Cadoux. “As much as this beer is a tribute to the traditional German Oktoberfest, a style we absolutely love, it’s also a great tribute to our hop growers.”
The Peak Hop Harvest Oktoberfest will be available on draft and in six packs nationwide through October 31, 2015. Reach out to Peak on Facebook ( www.facebook.com/peakbrewing ) to find a location featuring this fantastic Fall beer near you.
