Fort Collins, CO. – On November 9, 2015, Odell Brewing will release its first ever canned beer. The brewery’s new state of the art canning line will package around 310 cans per minute.
“I am proud to finally offer our great beer in cans to our loyal and soon to be loyal customers,” said brewery founder Doug Odell. “Some say it was a long time coming and it has been. We conducted years of research to purchase equipment that would match or exceed the quality of our other packages. We are sure you will be pleased with the results.”
Odell Brewing will launch with flagships 90 Shilling and IPA. Additional can offerings will be introduced beginning early next year including Loose Leaf Session Ale and summer seasonal St. Lupulin. Initially, all brands will be offered in twelve packs of 12 oz. cans.
“There are certain venues and occasions that lend themselves better to a can, especially in our home market of Colorado.” said brewery CSMO Eric Smith, “We are excited to have a package that will allow us to play in these spaces.”
The brewery will mark the introduction of cans with a special Food Drive and celebration in the Tap Room on Wednesday, November 11. Guests who bring in two or more canned food items will get one free canned beer (limit 1 per person, must be 21). Guests can also enjoy local food truck fare and live music by Brian Parton from 4 – 6 p.m.
