LARKSPUR, Calif. — A little over a month ago Hurricane Irma struck the Southern United States. Today the Marin Brewing Company is using Irma’s lousy name to help raise money for ongoing natural disasters.
Like the hurricane it’s named after, Irma IPA is a one-time event. It’s a classic IPA described by Brewmaster Arne Johnson as, “wet as they come and full of tropical flavors.” Johnson says his Irma IPA is also a bit unpredictable and packs a wallop (7.0% ABV).
Marin Brewing hopes you’ll take a moment or two while enjoying its latest one-off IPA to consider the unfathomable destruction and loss of life caused by the recent spate of natural disasters to affect our planet. From the devastating fires in Napa and Sonoma to earthquakes in Mexico, hurricanes in the Caribbean and Southeastern United States. Many thousands of people have lost friends, family, property, and could use our help!
In hopes of making a difference, Marin Brewing Company will be donating a portion of the sales of Irma IPA to the King Ridge Foundation to aid recent fire victims, and we encourage you to reach out with your assistance as you are able.
