SEATTLE — Louis Raison French Cidre, the number one selling cidre in France, is coming to the United Sates in March! Rooted in family tradition since 1923, Louis Raison is far from your typical American cider. The Louis Raison family takes pride in maintaining cooperative farming practices as well as the utmost attention to quality throughout the production process. Each sip is full of apple flavor: crisp, refreshing, and naturally gluten-free – offering French imagery in a truly craft cider. Louis Raison is proud to offer three distinct flavors – Rouge Delice, Organic Dry, and Original Crisp, each produced using exclusive apple varietals harvested from farms that have been in the Raison family for nearly 100 years. Scheduled for release March 2018, Louis Raison will be available in six-pack bottles and on draft in Washington and Oregon, with several states to follow.
“The growth of imported and craft cider continues to outpace the category, so introducing Louis Raisonto the U.S. is an exciting opportunity,” said Adam Carlson, National Sales Director for LR Imports, LLC. “There’s definitely room at the table for French cidre.”
Rouge Delice (5.5% ABV, 6.57 Brix): is comprised of Rouge Delice and Bittersweet apples. Rouge Delice apples – grown only in France – are recognized for their unique red flesh, delivering the natural rose hue of the liquid itself. On the nose, this cider is citrusy with bright acidity, accompanied by hints of strawberry and cranberry. The taste is floral with hints of white tea, spiced apple, and melon. Rouge Delice finishes with a soft, sweet hint of playful plum and fruit flavors. 2017 Tastings Gold Medal recipient.
Organic Dry (4.5% ABV, 2.56 Brix): is a full-bodied cider made with 100 percent organic bittersweet apples. This flavorful cider combines cinnamon and baked apple aromas with a dry, crisp finish. The taste is complex, incorporating white wine, grass and nut flavors. 2017 Tastings Gold Medal recipient.
Original Crisp (5.5% ABV, 5.33 Brix): made with bittersweet apples, this cider is crisp, light, sweet, fruity, and complex. Original Crisp has notes of toasted nuts and honey clover on the nose. The taste starts with ripe fruit up front and finishes with tannic and woody notes. 2017 Tastings Gold Medal recipient.
