Milwaukee, WI — Good City Brewing — a 17 bbl production brewery, urban taproom and event space on Milwaukee’s East Side — announced that it is releasing its popular Film Fest Lager on Saturday, September 2nd.
Brewed in collaboration with Milwaukee Film Festival, Film Fest Lager is a Marzen-style festbier featuring a light amber color, slightly sweet and biscuity malt body and mild, spicy/herbal German hop profile. After selling out of the Oktoberfest within a few weeks last year, Good City is ramping up production of Film Fest Lager this year to include cans.
“We are incredibly proud to be the official brewery of the Milwaukee Film Festival, one of the premiere cultural events in the region,” said Good City co-founder Dan Katt. “Film Fest Lager is the marriage of a classic Milwaukee style with an event that perfectly showcases Milwaukee’s continued momentum and creative future.”
Film Fest Lager will be released in the Good City taproom on September 2nd as part of the Milwaukee Film Festival Program Book Release party. Limited quantities of the seasonal Oktoberfest will also be available in 6-packs throughout the Milwaukee area.
Having only been open since June of 2016, Good City’s release of Film Fest Lager coincides with the brewery’s recent expansion that includes a rooftop patio, private event space, and doubling of its production capacity.
