Founders Brewing Company recently announced information regarding four limited-edition beers that will rotate through its catalog.
The brewery’s All Day IPA will be released on March 1 and will be available on shelves and on draft through September. The IPA is brewed with a mix of malts, grains and hops, packs a 4.7 percent ABV and contains 42 IBUs.
Curmedgeon Old Ale, brewed with molasses and aged in oak barrels, will be available in March and April. The ale has a 9.8 percent ABV and 50 IBUs.
A newsletter from the brewery announcing the releases instructed ale consumers to “think classic seafaring ports, local pubs, and weathered old fishermen.”
Doom, which is a version of the brewery’s imperial IPA after aging in bourbon barrels for four months, will be released in limited amounts starting on April 22. For its on-premise introduction, Doom will be a pre-ticketed, six-day release from April 14 to April 19.
The newsletter also noted that tickets are currently on sale for KBS, a stout ale. The pre-ticketed, on-premise release will last from March 27 to March 30, with all proceeds from the tickets supporting Grand Rapids Whitewater, a rapids restoration organization.
Founders is also currently negotiating with distributors from Texas, Florida and Maryland. The brewery hopes to have its beer on shelves and on draft in these states by April.
