The Beer Institute (BI) today announced the hire of Danelle Kosmal as vice president of research.
Kosmal will join the trade association — which represents the interests of brewers, importers and beer industry suppliers — in mid-August.
Most recently, Kosmal led market research firm NielsenIQ’s beverage alcohol practice for the last seven years, providing thought leadership and best practice solutions to beer, wine and spirits clients, industry groups and media members.
Prior to joining NielsenIQ’s beverage alcohol practice, Kosmal led the firm’s business at Molson Coors in Chicago. She joined Nielsen in 2008.
“After years of working with brewers and beer importers of all sizes, I am thrilled to continue my career at the Beer Institute,” Kosmal said in a press release. “America’s beer industry is exciting and dynamic. I look forward to the ongoing collaboration so our nation’s brewers, beer importers and suppliers to the beer industry can continue to support millions of good-paying jobs.”
“Danelle brings years of experience and has built a reputation as one of the foremost thought leaders in beverage alcohol,” Jim McGreevy, BI president and CEO, added in the release. “We are very excited to welcome Danelle to the Beer Institute team and look forward to drawing on her knowledge and capability to provide valuable insights for our members, the beer industry, and the many parties who rely on Beer Institute data.”
Kosmal has been a frequent speaker at industry events, including the most recent Brew Talks event.
