Overview

Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. is an award winning craft production brewery and historic malt house taproom located in the heart of the Over-the-Rhine Brewery District in Cincinnati, Ohio. Moerlein brews a wide variety of lagers & Ales with focus on European lagers and well hopped American ales. Having brewing traditions that date back to 1853, Christian Moerlein was one of the top American brewers of that era. In 1981, the Hudepohl Brewing Co. brought back Moerlein as one of the first American craft beers of todays craft beer movement. In 2004, Greater Cincinnati resident Greg Hardman purchased Christian Moerlein and went on a journey to bring back Cincinnati's grand brewing traditions and opened not only the world-class Moerlein Lager House Restaurant and Brewery on the Cincinnati riverfront next to Great American Ballpark, but a production brewery and taproom in the historic Over-the-Rhine Brewery District. Today, Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. and the Moerlein Lager House Restaurant and Brewery brew over 75 unique brews annually.
