AVONDALE ESTATES, Ga. — Wild Heaven Beer joins brewers across Georgia celebrating Georgia Beer Week (well, we’re calling it a Fortnight!) with our first ever canned sour beer, the newest chapter in our ongoing Wild Wild Heaven Innovation Sour Series. Belisama Raspberry Sour Ale releases at the Wild Heaven Taproom at 4pm on Friday, August 24.
While it’s canned, this isn’t a kettle sour. Wild Heaven’s “Wild Wild Heaven” sour and wild ales are primary fermented with brettanomyces in steel before adding fruit and a house mix of lactobacillus cultures. The beer is then blended with a portion of barrel-aged beer from the Wild Heaven stocks for additional depth & complexity.
The beer will be feature on draft with a special complimentary Sweet Grass Dairy Green Hill cheese pairing with limited 4-packs available for purchase for $14 (limit one case per person).
Made with an absolutely absurd amount of fresh raspberries, Belisama is named after the goddess referred to as “the brightest one”. One taste and you’ll understand why…
The release of Belisama also marks Wild Heaven Beer’s launch of a new partnership with online pre-order site Craft Cellr, who enables beer release reservations and brewery pickup via a mobile device. Reservations for Belisama can be made at wildheaven.craftcellr.com
