INDIANAPOLIS — Platform Beer Co., recently named by The Brewers Association as the Fastest Growing Regional Brewery in the US, is expanding distribution to the Indiana market with draft offerings this week. Select four and six-pack cans will follow in May. Platform is partnering with Craftroads Beverage Distributing to sell in markets throughout the state.
Draft options will include a wide variety of styles; the brewery plans to produce more than 150 unique draft beers in 2018. The Cleveland-based brewing outfit will begin with seasonal canned offerings such as; Peach Crusher Berliner, Project Session IPA w/ Citra Hops, High Brow Barista Coffee Pale Ale and Amy Passionfruit Apple Ale along with other special can releases throughout the year.
Additionally, Platform Beer Co. has teamed up with the Indianapolis Art Center to design a can specially for Indiana with $1 of each 6-pack going to the Indianapolis Art Center. The specialty can will be released with the other packaged product next month.
Platform VP of Sales, Matt Subel explained the decision to enter the Indiana market. “Indiana presents an opportunity to expand the reach of our brand while still staying close to home. Markets such as Indianapolis have become craft beer hubs, we feel our approach, utilizing ever-changing styles and the use of unique ingredients, will fit well into this already rich brewing community.”
“When deciding to partner with Craftroads,” continued Subel. “It was a perfect match. Their level of experience, attention to detail, and passion for the business is impressive. More than anything, they understood who we are as a brand, our company ethos, and how it all fit into the Indiana market. We couldn’t be happier.”
