Bay Shore, NY – Great South Bay Brewery officially brings back, by popular demand, their exclusive Marauder Bourbon Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale for a limited time. This larger then life scotch ale is aged in bourbon barrels from a reputable distillery in the United States and aged to perfection. 500ml bottles will only be available for a limited time at the brewery’s tasting room and draft will be available in limited quantities in select bars in their distribution footprint.
Owner and Brewmaster Rick Sobotka, a board certified anesthesiologist, has always been inspired by the area in which he chose to build his brewery and continues to pull influences from the Bay Shore area. Marauder happens to also be the name of the local high school’s athletic mascot. Sobotka was quoted as saying, “We’ve been perfecting this beer for years now and I really feel like we made a special batch this time. We put our heart and soul into all our beers and do this out of the love of the craft, and I’m really excited for the reaction the beer community is going to have. I think they’re really going to love it.”
Great South Bay Brewery plans to release Marauder Bourbon Barrel-Aged Scotch Ale in bottles on Saturday April 18, 2015 at their tasting room located at 25 Drexel Drive Bay Shore, NY at 12 pm.
The brewery’s offerings are currently available on draft and in 6-pack bottles at local bars, restaurants and retail beverage centers across New York State and Connecticut as well as at their brewery during tasting room hours.
