Buellton, California — Fans of Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. craft beer in Northern California will soon be able to find their beer on draught and in package starting mid-May 2017. The family-owned brewery from the Central Coast has signed with two new distributors in northern California: DBI Beverage and Bay Area Beverage. DBI Beverage will distribute FigMtnBrew beer in Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Lake, Mariposa, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Sierra, Solano, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba counties starting May 8th, 2017. Bay Area Beverage will distribute FigMtnBrew beer in Contra Costa and Alameda counties starting May 15th, 2017.
“We were looking for a well-established distributorship and both companies fit the bill,” says Figueroa Mountain’s Sales Director, Brian Sartain. “They truly value craft beer and the growing importance of quality in an increasingly saturated market. We wanted to work with distributors that understand our focus on fresh beer and we’re so excited to work with these companies as we expand our footprint into Northern California.”
The launch of FigMtnBrew beer in Northern California is timed perfectly with the debut of their newly rebranded packaging including brand new packaged beers such as Fig Mtn Mosaic in both six-packs and 22-ounce bottles. FigMtnBrew’s core beer brands will also debut new packaging for Hoppy Poppy IPA, Lizard’s Mouth Imperial IPA, Danish Red Lager, Paradise Rd Pilsner, Hurricane Deck Double IPA, Davy Brown Ale and FMB 101. They are also selling two new 12-packs with 12-ounce bottles: IPA Variety packs featuring Hoppy Poppy IPA, Fig Mtn Mosaic Pale Ale, Hurricane Deck Double IPA and Lizard’s Mouth Imperial IPA as well as Fig Mtn Light 12-packs. A new seasonal line of six packs debuted with Zero to Sexy, a golden mocha ale, in April and the second offering from the seasonal selections will be Painted Cave Guava IPA available in June.
“DBI Beverage is very proud and excited to have the opportunity to partner with a craft supplier like Figueroa Mountain. With award-winning beers and a unique marketing perspective there is so much potential for Figueroa Mountain to grow in Northern California, and we can’t wait to be a part of that process,” exclaims Trevor Straker, Director of Craft/Specialty Brands at DBI Beverage. The unique marketing perspective Straker is referring is that of the brewery’s branding which focuses on the Santa Ynez Valley and the Central Coast of California. Each of their beers is named after a hiking trail, landmark or local icon from the region. Son-and-pop owners Jaime and Jim Dietenhofer know the value of local pride and hope to share the story of Figueroa Mountain with the rest of California.
“Bringing Figueroa Mountain beers into our craft beer portfolio was an easy decision,” says General Sales Manager of Bay Area Beverage, Anthony Avizenis. “We are excited to partner with Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company because they consistently produce great quality, food-friendly beers that stays true to each beer style. Their lineup offers something for every palate from the craft beer connoisseur to the casual light beer drinker. Taking home 17 Great American Beer Festival medals in the last 5 years and an additional 3 World Beer Cup medals if proof that Figueroa Mountain is a leader in producing top notch craft beer.”
