JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a successful Purchasing & Inventory Control Assistant Manager. This position reports to our Senior Supply Chain Manager. The Purchasing & Inventory Control Assistant Manager is dynamic, energized, and most importantly, a person with experience in elevating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality, as well as someone who specializes in inventory control to oversee efficient and effective receipt, storage, and fulfillment of our wide variety of inventoried items. The position will manage all purchases and inventory for the brewery and sales functions. They are the point person for the procurement, movement, and tracking of raw materials and finished goods and are crucial to the daily operations of the brewery.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

·     Monitors inventory and manages the procurement of all raw materials, supplies, and merchandise for the business.

·     Maintain accuracy of purchase order data: including items, quantities, due dates, special instructions, terms and conditions, and receipt dates.

·     Resolve order and billing discrepancies in coordination with accounting and vendors.

·     Return or dispute purchases that are not acceptable or do not meet specifications.

·     Monitors performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet price, quality, delivery, and our company culture requirements.

·     Identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

·     Evaluate alternate sources of supply and pursue opportunities that will improve our cost position in collaboration with other departments.

·     Inventory management:

o  Review weekly depletions based on taproom beer and merchandise sales with Hospitality Managers.

o  Reconcile monthly inventory counts of all raw materials and merchandise with the help of other departments.

·     Accurate inventory controls utilizing the FIFO method on all materials.

·     Maintain and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) regarding inventory and purchasing.

·     Participates as an advisory member of the team providing information and guidance on availability and cost of materials.

·     Must have the ability to cross functionally communicate; working closely with the Senior Supply Chain Manager, Brewing, Packaging, Accounting, Creative and Sales teams to ensure everyone’s needs are coordinated for smooth operation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

·     Past inventory management experience required.

·     Past procurement experience required.

·     Orchestrated Beer / SAP knowledge preferred.

·     Microsoft Office skills required.

·     Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, in business, business administration, or finance preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

·     Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

·     Must be able to work in tight spaces where twisting, reaching, and climbing is required to verify inventory counts.

·     Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
