WEYMOUTH, Mass. — Barrel House Z has launched its next big beer, BAM BAM Double IPA. Dry hopped with Mosaic & Citra, this is a New England-style hop bomb. Juicy with big notes of pineapple, orange, and mango. Beer lovers will welcome the hazy waves of balanced bitterness coming at them in every sip. ABV is 8.8%
BAM BAM DIPA was inspired by BHZ friend and neighbor Tom Powers, owner of the Union Brewhouse—which has been serving the best in local craft beer since 1996. One night, back in October of 2017, the BHZ team headed down the street to raise a few pints and talk to Tom about beers he loves. As the evening came to a close, our brewers drew up the recipe for this DIPA on beer-stained napkin. The handwriting may have been difficult to decipher the next morning, but the ideas came through loud & clearly. We brewed a limited test batch in November, dividing up the logs between our taproom and Union Brewhouse. Reaction was overwhelming positive in both spots. As Tom notes, “We’ve had a strict ‘no crap on tap’ policy since we opened Union Brewhouse. BAM BAM DIPA rightfully earns its place at the table by being a heck of a good beer.”
BAM BAM DIPA can be found in select Massachusetts accounts on the North Shore, South Shore, South Coast, Cape Cod & Islands and Central & Western MA, as well as Rhode Island. It will be available in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans and on draft.
