(Winston-Salem, NC) – Foothills has announced the 2011 release date for their wildy popular Sexual Chocolate Imperial Stout. Here's what they said in today's newsletter…
"Let the eager anticipation begin: Sexual Chocolate 2011 is less than two months away. By far our most famous offering, the Sexual Chocolate will return on January 29, 2011 and will be offered both on draft and (for a very, very limited time) in bottles.
For those of you new to our beer, the Sexual Chocolate is a Russian Imperial Stout infused with organic cocoa nibs. Deep opaque black in color, it offers notes of espresso, blackstrap molasses, toffee, and dark fruits that serve to mask an alcohol content approaching ten percent.
Of course, you don't have to take our word for it that this beer will blow your mind. We'll let a sampling of the Sexual Chocolate's more recent accolades speak for itself.
- Received a silver medal at the ultra-prestigious Brewer's Association World Beer Cup earlier this year.
- Received a bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2009; its bourbon barrel-aged cousin received a gold medal at the same festival in 2010.
- Appeared in Maxim Magazine's 25 Best New Beers in America in February 2010
- Crowned National Champion in DRAFT Magazine's March Madness-themed Best Beer Competition in 2010.
