Portland’s Cider Riot! rings in the New Year with the relaunch of its Burncider Pub Draught cider in Oregon’s new sustainable multi-use bottles. The locally made bottles are intended to be washed and refilled rather than crushed and recycled and craft breweries throughout the state have begun using them for beer.
Just in time for the playoffs, Cider Riot! releases Porter’s Perfection, a bourbon-barrel aged single varietal cider. The English bittersharp Porter’s Perfection apple has been used for over a century to make world champion ciders. In the fall of 2016 we had an abundant crop of Porter’s Perfection apples and teamed up with Coach Caleb Porter to make a cider that was worthy of competing at the highest level.
Portland’s Cider Riot! is proud to present the sessionable apple cider for all day: Everyday Semi-Dry Cider. The first canned offering from Cider Riot! will be available in six packs of 12-ounce cans starting in April.
Cider Riot! honors Oregon’s pioneering spirit with the rerelease of F.X. Matthieu hopped cider. Made with X-17 hops bred by Pat Leavy at the Oregon Hophouse, Oregon’s first certified organic hop farm, the cider honors Quebecois revolutionary and founder of the Republic of Oregon, Francois Xavier Matthieu.
