Danish multinational brewer Carlsberg has acquired a 20% stake in Mikkeller from New York-based private equity firm Orkila Capital, the Denmark-based craft brewery announced.

Copenhagen-based Mikkeller is shutting down its brewery in the Miramar neighborhood of San Diego, effective immediately, and will begin contract brewing its offerings with San Diego’s AleSmith Brewing Co., the company announced. The Miramar taproom will remain open through the end of September.

The Danish brewery and Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) have come together to create two exclusive beers to prepare for the upcoming HBO series ‘House of the Dragon.’

Cascade Brewing has announced the upcoming release of Bean-to-Barrel Triple, a collaboration project with Danish brewery Mikkeller.
