Uber has decided to shut down Drizly just three years after acquiring the alcohol e-commerce delivery platform for $1.1 billion, Axios reported today.
Ready-to-drink cocktails (RTDs), non-alcoholic (NA) adult beverages and lager are expected to grow on Drizly in 2023, according to the alcohol e-commerce platform’s 2023 BevAlc Trend Report.
While the COVID-19 pandemic may have accelerated growth for ready-to-drink canned cocktails (RTDs) over the last two years, alcohol delivery platform Drizly said the segment is more than “a pandemic-driven fad” and has the potential to drive retail sales.
Alcohol e-commerce delivery platform Drizly is partnering with convenience giant 7-Eleven, allowing consumers to order alcohol delivery from more than 1,200 stores across 11 states.
