Sebastopol, CA – Jolie Devoto and Hunter Wade, founding partners of Golden State Cider Co., the producers of Golden State Cider (GSC) and Devoto Orchards Cider, announced that the company’s award winning ciders will be available throughout the state of California this year, thanks to their new distribution partner, Wine Warehouse. Since the relationship started in February this year, the Los Angeles and Richmond-based distributor has increased Golden State Cider company’s footprint and craft cider offerings with a successful broad market Northern California launch and will continue the momentum down in Southern California later this year.
“We are extremely excited to be working with the great team at Golden State Cider Co! We have already seen the success and potential of the brand and know we’ve only just begun. The modern and thoughtful packaging, West Coast vibe and above all fantastic cider, they’re a great addition to our craft-centric portfolio. Together with GSC, we look forward to introducing their amazing brands throughout California,” states Stephanie Jensen, Wine Warehouse’s Beer Portfolio Manager.
Wine Warehouse sells GSC on draft and in it’s signature sleek 4-pack cans, including the new dry-hopped hard cider, ‘Mighty Hops’, which is described as the ‘beer drinker’s cider’, featuring bold flavor from Pacific Northwest grown Columbus hops, which are added at the end of the cider making process to best express aromatic character. ‘Mighty Hops’ 4-packs are available exclusively at Whole Foods Markets in the month of April for $11.99, until the broad market launch on May 1st, where it’ll be available in all of Northern California at places like Nugget Markets, Oliver’s Markets, Cost Plus, and other chains, independent grocers, pubs, and bars.
“As a craft beer drinker and hop enthusiast, I love how the bright acidity of the cider marries with the citrusy, piney, and dank aromas of this specific hop variety,” states Tim Godfrey, head cider maker at Golden State Cider Co. “Mighty Hops is a perfect match for those who love the crispness of cider and dankness of beer.” After all, Californians do love their hoppy beverages.
About Golden State Cider Company:
Born in 2012 from a love of California agriculture and the Pacific Coast lifestyle, Golden State Cider is the brainchild of Hunter Wade and Jolie Devoto, husband and wife team, who started making farmstead ciders on their family’s organic Sonoma County apple farm. As a boldly refreshing and naturally gluten-free alternative to beer and wine, GSC is committed to crafting the highest quality product for California and using only 100% fresh-pressed fruits grown on the West Coast.
