Today, Brewbound is excited to release the first glimpse of a project many months in the making: Learning Curve, an online documentary series produced in collaboration with Good Beer Hunting, showcases the entrepreneurial adventures of craft beer companies throughout the U.S.
As an extension of our bi-annual Startup Brewery Challenge — a unique partnership with Craft Brew Alliance that gives new craft beer companies the chance to pitch their business plans and compete for an intense, multi-day learning excursion with Widmer Brothers Brewing in Portland, Ore. — Brewbound followed Kentucky’s Braxton Brewing, winners of our last competition, on their trip to PDX this summer.
Over the course of three days, the Braxton founders met with a number of CBA brewers and key executives who shared lessons and strategies in the areas of distribution, marketing, supply chain dynamics and ingredient procurement, among others.
Born out of a desire to illustrate the challenges that emerging craft brewery owners face as they look to grow their brands, the Learning Curve series celebrates entrepreneurs and emphasizes the skills new beer companies must master if they want to succeed long-term.
