Overview
It all started with brothers Carl and Mark Nolen and Brewmaster Kirby Nelson. Three Wisconsin born-and-raised regular guys who share a passion for the Badger State - its friendly people, bountiful resources, rich brewing heritage - and the idea that drawing on all of the above is the key to creating some really awesome beer.
We started brewing in August of 2013, setting off a perpetual motion machine of new brew creations that show no sign of stopping. Our top brands include Badger Club Beer, Chocolate Lab Porter, Yankee IPA, Wisconsin Vacation Pilsner, S'Wheat Caroline, Patron Saint Oktoberfest, Porter Joe Coffee-Infused Porter, Wiskator Doppelbock, Cupid’s Envy Espresso Porter, and Depth Charge Scotch Ale.
Come for a tour and enjoy a pint (or two) afterwards in our Tap Room or Backyard Bar. We’re open Tuesday through Sunday (which obviously means we’re closed on Mondays). We have free, outdoor concerts every Friday night from May through September, and other fun events throughout the year. Our Brewery is family-friendly. Leashed dogs are welcome all days but Fridays and during two special events: Depth Charge and Dueling Pianos. We do not offer food service, but outside food is welcome.

Red Arrow American Pale Ale became available in stores May 1, and in just a few short weeks is nearly sold out. The high demand shows that the UW-Madison Fermentation Sciences Program (Campus Craft Brewery) has met its educational goals, while its partner, Wisconsin Brewing Company has exceeded its commercial goals.
Six teams of students from the UW-Madison College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, Department of Food Science, had their craft beers judged by a panel of industry professionals. After weeks of experimentation under Professor Jim Steele and Hans Zoerb (Campus Craft Brewery), teams brewed an American Pale Ale within a set of standards determined by Wisconsin Brewing Company.
Wisconsin Brewing Company’s Brewmaster is never satisfied, believing in a constant review of our beers. Earlier this year he decided to do a total re-do of our Golden Amber. “I enjoyed our Amber, yet believed there was much more potential in the beer” relates Kirby Nelson. “So I decided to take a new approach to the amber concept, changing the formula and raw materials, changing the yeast strain, and BOOM! The resulting liquid really came alive and became a brand new beer.”
