Springdale Beer Company, the ale-centric offshoot of Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers, has been put “on hiatus indefinitely,” the Framingham, Massachusetts-based brewery announced Monday.
Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers and sister brand Springdale Beer Company have signed with Sheehan Family Companies to distribute its offerings statewide in Massachusetts, the company announced today. Sheehan subsidiaries Craft Massachusetts (Boston, central and western Massachusetts), L. Knife & Son (southeastern Massachusetts), and Seaboard Products (northeastern Massachusetts) will begin distributing Jack’s Abby products starting today.
Framingham-based Springdale Beer Co. and Somerville’s Union Square Donuts have teamed up to create a limited-edition collaboration beer and collaboration donut. The beer will be released Friday, October 9th at the Jack’s Abby Beer Hall, with accompanying events surrounding the release over the following week.
Newly named Massachusetts Brewers Guild’s president Sam Hendler wants to finally resolve the contentious franchise reform debate with the state’s wholesalers. Hendler, a co-founder and co-owner of Framingham, Massachusetts-based craft breweries Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers and the Springdale Beer Company, acknowledged that the franchise law reform effort has been dragging on long before he was of legal drinking age. “I was a high school senior when it started,” he told Brewbound.

Idle Hands Craft Ales and Springdale by Jack’s Abby have collaborated to create two beers to benefit the Greg Noonan Scholarship for the American Brewers Guild. Both beers will be released on Friday, December 7, 2018, during a release party at Hugh O’Neill’s in Malden, MA.
Springdale Beer just launched the second blend in their Beta Blend Series, which takes beer collaborations out of breweries and into kitchens. The second in the series was brewed in collaboration with the team at Craigie on Main, a rustically inspired restaurant with a changing daily menu located in Cambridge, MA.
Last Week, Springdale Beer released “Any IPA” in Collaboration with Against the Grain Brewery out of Louisville, Kentucky. Any IPA is a clear version of a New England IPA. The beer features over four pounds of hops per barrel and was designed to be as light in color as possible.
Springdale by Jack’s Abby Brewing LLC announces its full distribution launch in the Philadelphia area through their wholesaler, Shangy’s. Philadelphia will see Springdale’s core lineup of canned ales, including Pearly Wit, Brigadeiro Breakfast Stout, and Good N’ You NEIPA.
