Twenty-five years after Greg Kelly started Red Brick Brewing Company — then known as Atlanta Brewing Company — the company is looking re-establish its position in metro Atlanta by revamping its portfolio to include new core products and more taproom exclusive beers.
Georgia Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere, and Red Brick Brewing Co., Atlanta’s oldest operating craft brewery, have entered into a long-term partnership to release seasonal craft beers. The two entities will release beers with flavor profiles appropriate for each season. Each brew will be named for a specific species found at Georgia Aquarium, with a portion of sales helping to fund the aquarium’s global research and conservation on behalf of that season’s animal.
Starting Friday, Georgia breweries will officially be allowed to sell beer directly to consumers, ending a contentious, decade-plus-long dispute between the state’s beer manufacturers and wholesalers.

Georgia’s oldest craft brewery, Red Brick Brewing Co., announced that it will no longer produce bottled beer for distribution beginning in January 2017. The brewery’s current offerings consist of canned and bottled products for its core and seasonal releases. Red Brick has seen significant growth from its canned offerings that debuted at the end of 2014 with the Laughing Skull Amber Ale. Red Brick will continue to offer limited quantities of special release bottles as part of its Brick & Mortar series available only at the brewery.
Georgia’s oldest operational craft brewery, Red Brick Brewing Company, announced today the addition of Laughing Skull Craft Lager to its year-round lineup starting this spring. “We couldn’t be more excited to add this beer to our year round portfolio”, said brewmaster and president Garett Lockhart.
