Overview
Based in Chicago, Phusion Projects, LLC is a multi-brand, global alcoholic beverage company with a product portfolio that includes Four Loko, John Daly’s, Moskato Life, and Earthquake.
Basic Hard Seltzer comes in four simple flavors – Cranberry, Lemon, Cucumber and Pamplemousse (that’s French for grapefruit) and comes in variety 12 packs. The four flavors are modeled after how we take our Basic Vodka and soda; with a splash of grapefruit or cranberry and a squeeze of lemon or cucumber.
Phusion Projects officially rolled out its first Four Loko branded hard seltzer to retailers today, after going viral on social media over the summer. A-B announced today that Bud Light Seltzer will launch in the first quarter of 2020 in four flavors: Black Cherry, Lemon Lime, Strawberry and Mango.
Four Loko maker Phusion Projects plans to launch a 14% ABV hard seltzer sometime in the fourth quarter of 2019. The Four Loko Twitter account teased the launch Tuesday night, posting an image of the forthcoming seltzer that quickly garnered 76,700 likes and 21,400 retweets, as of press time. Phusion Projects co-founder and managing partner Jaisen Freeman confirmed to Brewbound that Four Loko Seltzer will be introduced later this year.
Today Four Loko officially announced its newest product, Four Loko Black, a cryptic name that encourages consumers to determine the latest flavor for themselves. Known for giving their fans the chance to discover and describe new flavors on their own terms, Four Loko Black follows Four Loko Gold as the second mystery flavor in the brand’s Camo can series.
The entrepreneurs behind the once-caffeinated and controversial flavored malt beverage, Four Loko, are diversifying. Following the April launch of Four Loko Shots, a line of flavored spirits checking in at 35 percent ABV, Four Loko parent Phusion Projects, via its Innovative Wine & Spirits subsidiary, last week struck a deal with Pabst Brewing Company to market, sell and distribute its first bourbon brand under the Not Your Father’s label.
