After four years of service, Logan Mayfield departed Ordnance Brewing earlier this week with plans of opening a local brewpub, close by in Boardman, OR. Although Logan will be missed, he leaves behind a solid brewery team led by Paul Anderson (formerly of Deschutes Brewing).
Ordnance Brewing, the farmer owned brewery from Boardman, Oregon will take it’s two best selling beers, EOD Double IPA and Bloops Blueberry Wheat, into twelve ounce six pack cans and roll them out across Oregon and Washington in early April.
There are a growing number of quality whiskey barrel aged beers on the market and while Ordnance Brewing offers some of their own, they decided to take barrel aging a different route, into their regions wineries.

Preparing for the onset of dark days and cool, wet weather, Ordnance Brewing has released it’s Fall seasonal – Old Craig, an English Strong Ale and a very limited production whiskey barrel aged Imperial Stout, Bläckfiskey.
Never one to rest, Ordnance Brewing has crossed the Columbia River and signed with Kendall’s Pioneer in Kelso, Washington. The distributor will represent Ordnance in Western Washington to Tacoma and up the Columbia Gorge through Skamania County.
s the fifty-barrel system is set to come online in a month, Ordnance Brewing is expanding its start up distribution discussions. The brewery is currently in conversation with distributors in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Montana and North Dakota.
Only eight days into 2016 and already there’s an onslaught of brewery expansions to report. On the heels of a year in which craft volume sales grew more than 18 percent, according to research firm IRI Worldwide, at least eight notable U.S. breweries have announced plans to scale their operations, in some cases making large multi-million dollar bets on the rising consumer demand for craft beer.
Ordnance Brewing has begun expansion of its brewery located just off I-84 in Boardman Oregon. The expansion moves them from a 7 barrel system to a 4 vessel 50 barrel system raising annual production potential to more than 50,000 barrels annually. The increase in production sets the platform for expanding distribution and support of four core beers in six packs as well as a rotating set of limited edition brews in bottles by Spring of 2016.
