Sarasota, Florida-based JDub’s Brewing is alive and about to launch a new flagship offering, following its April 2020 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing thanks to a partnership with Orlando-based contract brewer Brew Theory.
s the hospitality industry begins to reopen and rebuild, Orlando-based contract brewing facility “Brew Theory” is excited to announce major new production partners: Shipyard Brewing and JDub’s Brewing Company. The 12,000 square foot facility will produce and sell Portland, Maine-headquartered Shipyard Brewing company’s portfolio of products in the Sunshine State.
JDub’s Brewing Company, headquartered in sunny Sarasota, FL, is opening a taproom, AKA “Dub Shack” at the Brew Theory Brewery in downtown Orlando, FL. Additionally, JDub’s will be moving production of its core beers at Brew Theory.
Dr. Anthony Fauci today cautioned against reopening businesses and other public gathering spaces before states meet guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. An investigation by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) found that third-party delivery services are “routinely delivering alcoholic beverages to minors,” according to an industry advisory posted by the regulatory agency.
JDub’s Brewing Co. has realigned its distribution footprint in much of the Sunshine State. JDub’s new distribution partners, Gold Coast Beverages Distributing, Florida Distributing Company, and S.R. Perrott are distributing JDub’s current portfolio, as well as launching JDub’s new 12-packs of Passion Wheat and a Variety “Dub” Pack in June.
Over the next few weeks, JDub’s Brewing Company will begin distributing its beer to Georgia as well as releasing new packaging varieties, two of which will be 12-packs. JDub’s “Passion Wheat” and a variety 12 “Dub Pack” will be the first of the new 12-pack offerings.
JDub’s Brewing Company has teamed up with iconic ska punk band, Less Than Jake, to make a beer featured as part of the brewery’s four-year anniversary party. “Dub Fest” is a craft beer and music festival taking place on February 10th, at the Sarasota Fairgrounds. The beer, an orange, wheat ale, was the brainchild of Less Than Jake drummer, Vinnie Fiorello, and JDub’s Founder, Jeremy Joerger, who reached out to the band with the idea.
JDub’s Brewing Company has hired Beer Industry Veteran, Tim Snell, in the breweries newly created role of “Director of Sales.”
This fall, JDub’s Brewing Company cans ”Poolside” Kölsch and Up Top! IPA will get a new look. The “refreshed” can designs are reflective of the companies meaning and current standing in the marketplace. Owner Jeremy Joerger, “It’s about time for a “facelift” for the cans.
JDub’s Brewing Company is excited to announce the opening of our off-site taproom, “The Dub Shack at UTC”, which is tentatively scheduled to open the end of January.
In the near future, JDub’s beers will be available in Georgia. JDub’s is currently interviewing distributors in the Peach State and we hope to be on shelves in stores and on draft lines soon. Recent IRI data gives us optimism for the expansion, which shows that over the past month, JDub’s is the #1 selling Florida craft brewery amongst all beers sold in Florida liquor stores. (IRI sales data snippet available upon request) Moreover, we have already built a solid relationship with Kroger that will be a focus of ours moving into the new territory.
