Stone Brewing Company has filed a motion to recoup attorneys’ fees after winning a $56 million judgment against Molson Coors for trademark infringement, according to court documents filed earlier this week.

Hop Valley Brewing Co. has released Reveal, a pale ale brewed in collaboration with ambassadors from the LGBTQ communities in Oregon, Washington and California. Available on tap and in 12-ounce bottles throughout those states, a portion of proceeds from the sale of Reveal support local and regional LGBTQ nonprofit organizations.

Fresh off last week’s purchase of Georgia-based Terrapin Beer Company, MillerCoors, via its Tenth and Blake craft and import division, today announced it has acquired a majority stake in Oregon’s Hop Valley Brewing. Specific financial terms were not disclosed and the transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2016.
The evening of November 6th was a night to remember for seven Oregon State University (OSU) Fermentation Science students. Four walked away with checks for $10,000 while three others pocketed $15,000 – all in the name of Oregon beer icon and late founder of Rogue Ales, Jack Joyce. In its second year, the Jack Joyce Scholarships awarded a total $85,000, nearly tripling last year’s funds.
