Hairy Cow Brewing Company will serve delicious craft beer as well as wood-fired gourmet pizza. Located on the Rock River at 450 E. Blackhawk Dr , Byron, IL Thank you for checking out the Hairy Cow Brewing Company Facebook page. We're building Hairy Cow Brewing Company in Byron, IL, on the banks of the beautiful Rock River. Hairy Cow Brewing Company will be the first and only microbrewery in Ogle County, and we’re building it right here in Byron. Hairy Cow will have not only world class beer, but we will also serve gourmet wood-fired pizza and pulled pork sandwiches fresh from the farm. We’ve been in discussion with city officials about our project for several weeks, and they are as excited about Hairy Cow as we are! We have a vision. Our vision is a brewpub as a hub of activity in Byron. A community gathering place where you can bring friends and family, enjoy delicious craft beer and pizza while sitting on the patio overlooking the riverfront, or from the beautiful window view in the taproom. A place where you can dock your boat, watch sand volleyball, or enjoy time with friends around the outdoor fire-pit. Did I mention boat docks? The city plans to develop the rest of Sunshine Park to compliment Hairy Cow. That plan includes boat slips. A riverfront. This will be the first riverfront area where boaters can tie-up and walk into town. Boaters, waterskiers, fishermen. Everyone who enjoys the Rock River between Rockford and Oregon can funnel into Byron through our backyard. We plan to host running and biking events. The bike path that runs through Byron also runs through our backyard, along the river. City officials plan to upgrade the path and extend it under the train trestle, along the river to the boat launch east of us. We plan to build two regulation sand volleyball courts in front of Hairy Cow, to be used by leagues and teams from the area. We would like to keep the Farmers Market on the grounds. Provide a venue for local talent such as musicians and artists. And host seasonal events such as Octoberfest, and of course a bacon & beer festival! We want Hairy Cow Brewing Company to be an integral part of the community. We want you to be a part of the Hairy Cow experience. We need your involvement and your help.
