Fort Point Releases New Limited Canned Beer Series

Fort Point Beer Company, the largest independently-owned craft brewery in San Francisco, has officially launched a new limited product line featuring beer releases in 16 ounce cans.

San Francisco-based Fort Point Beer Company has ended its 6-year-old self-distribution operation and sold the rights to distribute its brands to Matagrano Inc. in the Bay Area. Offerings from Bell’s Brewery will be sold by Classic Beverage in Southern California, following the acquisition of Bell’s brand rights by the City of Industry-headquartered wholesaler, which purchased Craft Beer Guild from Sheehan Family Companies.

Fort Point Beer Company Expands Distribution Statewide in California

San Francisco’s Fort Point Beer Company has signed with eight wholesalers in California, expanding the craft brewery’s distribution footprint statewide. “For six years, Fort Point has pretty much been sold in nine counties around the Bay Area with a couple of things being sold here and there outside of that,” Fort Point co-founder and CEO Justin Catalana told Brewbound. “But we just flipped the switch to sell through the rest of California.”

Beginning in March 2017, Fort Point Beer Company will double its current footprint in the Ferry Building’s North Arcade. The expansion will add to Fort Point’s current seating area, allowing for larger groups and a more diverse menu.
