Last summer, Barrel House Z’s brew team held a late-night brainstorming session to come up with recipe ideas for the 2nd Annual HOP-ETITION, a blind-tasting event held at New World Tavern in Plymouth. This event draws a fun crowd and first-rate local breweries.
There’s no doubt that Mother Nature’s cruel winter ways are fast approaching.

Barrel House Z, a brewery + taproom in Weymouth, MA, decided the best way to conquer February is by brewing a crushable, fruit-fest of a beer. And Dolphins On Parade, a New England IPA, is just the beer to plant the flag.
Back in 2014, well before Barrel House Z founder Russ Heissner opened the Weymouth-based brewery, he took a field trip to Night Shift Brewing. As Harpoon’s first head brewer back in 1986, Heissner wasn’t new to the craft beer business, but he wanted a better sense of how the industry was evolving.
Nessie, sour belle of the cranberry bog, will release at Barrel House Z on Saturday, 12/14. The BHZ taproom is opening an hour earlier on Saturday (11:00AM) to avoid lines and ease parking congestion.
Now’s the time to throw on a big, warm sweater and head to Weymouth, because Barrel House Z just released Campfire King, an indulgent, s’more-inspired Imperial Porter. Campfire King is a limited 16 oz. can release available only at the Barrel House Z taproom.
