Summit Brewing founder and CEO Mark Stutrud will retire from the Minnesota craft brewery in March after 37 years.
Our public-facing space — the Ratskeller (beer hall & patio) and gift store — is back open to the public!
We are open from 3 – 8 p.m. Thursdays – Saturdays. However, please check our website or follow our social channels (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) for any announcements about closures due to holidays or other events.
For COVID-19 guidelines: In accordance to current city and state guidelines, patrons and employees who are vaccinated are not required to wear masks. CDC Guidelines encourage non-vaccinated individuals to continue wearing face coverings at all times while inside, however we will not require proof of vaccination. Reservations are also not required. There will be no capacity limits or time restrictions due to COVID-19. We will continue to follow state mandates in the future.

Spring is here, and Summit Brewing Co. is already looking forward to Summer with the introduction of the new Lake Crusher Mixed Berry to extend the summer seasonal brand and round out the Crusher Series Combo Pack.
After a decade of success, Summit Brewing is changing up the iconic Sága brand with a fresh new look. Starting early April, the legacy beer brand will introduce the “Sága Goddess Series” leaning on the classic IPA while introducing a new brew, the Sága Hazy IPA.
In the wake of Breakthru Beverage’s acquisition of J.J. Taylor’s beer business in Minnesota, Summit Brewing Company’s portfolio has moved to A-B house Capitol Beverage Sales in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, with pieces of territory doled out to College City (A-B) and Dahlheimer Beverage, a Molson Coors house.

After the successful extension of Summit Cabin Crusher Kölsch-Style Ale with Lime with Summit Cabin Crusher Kölsch-Style Ale with Lemon last year, Summit Brewing Co. has decided to grow the brand even further with a new beer and variety pack.
Starting in the 2021 season, Summit Brewing Co. will now be an “Official Craft Beer” and the “Hometown Craft Beer” of the Minnesota Twins. Additionally, Summit has secured naming rights to the open-air bar adjacent to the leftfield foul pole.
After a year characterized by change, Summit Brewing Company is beginning 2021 with welcomed regularity. Summit Twenty-One IPA and Summit Mixed Pack IPA Edition will be returning as the spring seasonal and spring variety pack respectively.
The welcoming in of a new year is always reason for occasion, but the arrival of 2021 in particular was even more pronounced. After a long and challenging 2020, many were excited to turn the page to a year full of promise. For us at Summit Brewing Co. this year also holds special meaning as we celebrate our 35th year. We are grateful that despite numerous obstacles throughout the years we are still able to brew beer true to our original vision.
It’s safe to say that 2020 has not been the year we expected. We’ve gone from seventh inning stretches to stretching out on the couch, dancing cheek-to-cheek to dancing with ourselves, and from reaching out & touching you to not standing so close to one another.
After a successful debut in the 2020 Summit Block Party Box in April, Summit Triumphant Session IPA is joining the year-round lineup as our seventh beer and third IPA.
Here at Summit Brewing Company, we’ve always believed that beer can bring us together. That remains true now more than ever. We continue to release new and exciting products in an effort to create some stability during these uncertain times. Today, we’re excited to announce the release of our Summit Block Party Box.
It’s been a year of change at Summit Brewing Company. Though we’re only just four months in, we’ve already launched a new spring seasonal and new variety pack. Now, we’re announcing another new seasonal – Cabin Crusher Kölsch-Style Ale with Lime.
Summit Brewing Company met the new decade with two brand new beers and one brand new variety package. First, in January, Summit released Summit Twenty-One IPA. Then, at the beginning of February, Summit released the Mixed Pack IPA Edition variety pack, which includes the newest limited-edition beer: Elderflower IPA.
