Maine Beer Company is built around the simple concept: “Do what’s right.” This motto is at the forefront of every decision we make from how we treat our employees, to the beer we brew, to taking care of the world around us. Our Freeport, Maine-based brewery was founded in 2009 by brothers David and Daniel Kleban. They were determined to create a company centered around social responsibility and doing what was right. We are known primarily for our IPAs and pale ales, but also for our commitment to environmental causes through our membership in 1% for the Planet.
Our Freeport tasting room features 20 draft lines, including some limited and brewery-only releases. Our mezzanine offers additional seating overlooking the tasting room and the production space. We serve pizza from our wood-fired oven using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We also offer merchandise, gift certificates, and bottles of our beer to go.

Two Maine-based craft breweries — Sebago Brewing and Maine Beer Company — are in the process of finalizing brewery expansions projects what would enable each company to significantly grow their operations in the greater Portland area. Sebago Brewing, based in Gorham, today announced plans to open a new $5 million destination brewery in 2017. Chicago beer drinkers should get ready for a taste of ‘Vacationland.’ Popular boutique brewer Maine Beer Co. recently signed a new wholesale agreement with Windy City Distribution — part of the Reyes Beverage Group of beer distributors — and made its first shipment of beer to the Midwest just last week.
PHILLIPSBURG, NJ — Maine Beer Company will be expanding their Northeast distribution footprint, entering New Jersey on October 1, 2012.
