Prost Brewing Co. kicked off 2024 with the opening of its Northglenn brewing headquarters catapulting the brand into a year full of rapid local growth, producing and selling 29k bbls this year. The award-winning brewery focused on on and off premise growth in its home market and expanded distribution into Utah, driving consumer brand recognition for its traditional lagers brewed with cutting-edge technology.
“This year allowed us to share the art of German-inspired brewing with more craft bier consumers than ever before, through our new state-of-the-art brewing facility and investment in expanded distribution,” said Prost President David Deline. “We look forward to carrying that momentum into 2025 and beyond as we continue to brew our world class lagers.”
Growth Numbers
The brewery’s robust growth was driven by its flagship award-winning Prost Pilsner (up 8.3% YTD), its Vienna Lager (up 39.4% YTD), and an innovative approach to its revamped Seasonal Program (up 26.2% YTD). Prost produced and sold 11k bbls in its first year at the new brewing facility in Northglenn.
On-premise sales increased by 20.9% this year, and will continue to be a driving demand in 2025 as Prost continues to strengthen brand loyalty among bier drinkers in its home state of Colorado and beyond. In April, Prost invested in its distribution footprint with expansion into Utah. Prost’s biers are now available across seven states: Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Utah, Idaho and Montana.
Rising Star Brewery Awarded Gold Medal at World Beer Cup
Lagers continued to gain traction in 2024 among craft beer consumers, and in April, Prost’s Biergarten Lager was awarded a Gold medal in the highly competitive International Light Lager category at the World Beer Cup. Though this is not Prost’s first major medal, having earned six medals at the Great American Beer Festival since 2015, this is the first time one of its German-style biers has been recognized by the World Beer Cup, widely regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious beer competitions.
Prost was named a Rising Star at the Brewbound Live 2024 Awards, recognizing the craft brewery’s exceptional potential to shift categories, innovative products and brands, and growth that signals an enduring presence in the industry.
