DALLAS (September 2024) – Lakewood Brewing Co. is bringing fall back to the shelves with its
two popular pumpkin beers, Pumpkin Spice Latte Temptress and Punkel, returning to stores
across Texas. Additionally, its popular Pony Pils, an American Golden Lager made for Mustang
Nation, is ramping up for football season and is widely available at Mustang home games.
- PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE TEMPTRESS, is a far-from-basic batch just in time for Ugg boots and infinity scarf season. The delightful addition to the seasonal Temptress family was introduced last year and brings together the cozy warmth of pumpkin spice and the bold flavor of coffee, courtesy of Noble Coyote Coffee. It is enhanced with subtle notes of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and ginger.
- PUNKEL was one of the first local pumpkin-inspired beers containing no pumpkin, just pumpkin pie spices. First released in 2013, it survived the Pumpkin Beer Craze of 2014 and Pumpkin Beer Demise of 2016 to be one of the last pumpkin-inspired beers left standing. It is LBC’s longest and most popular seasonal and is celebrated each fall at Lakewood’s Punktoberfest, which will be September 14 and this year will include limited releases of DRUNKEL and PUNKTRESS.
- PONY PILS has a crispy bois (beer lingo for light and crisp craft lagers), and is the official beer of Mustang Nation. Introduced last year by SMU alum and Lakewood founder, Wim Bens, it has been flying off shelves and filling pints since.
