CINCINNATI, Ohio – Urban Artifact, Cincinnati-based craft brewer and “wild culture” expert, today announced the release of Owler, a Tart Vanilla Brown. Owler is the other half of the 6-month perennial line which includes Flash Lamp.
Owler is a brown ale brewed with a hearty dose of fresh vanilla beans and a blend of roasted malts.
Then the signature Urban Artifact lactobacillus fermentation balances out the beer with a bright, round acidity. The combination is very candy-like, reminiscent of a Tootsie roll. It will be packaged in six-packs and draft, with availability through the fall and winter months.
“We’re excited for the release of Owler this fall, as it will be the perfect flavorful and uplifting accompaniment for cool autumnal nights and the chilly hibernal days ahead,” explained brewer Josh Elliot.
Owler is set to release the week of October 16th, on draft and in cans. It will go on sale at better beer retailers across Ohio and Northern Kentucky. The Urban Artifact taproom release is Tuesday, October 17th starting at 4 pm.
