LARKSPUR, Calif. — These days, when anyone mentions Russia, it’s almost always a bad thing, but the Marin Brewing Company is out to prove otherwise!
On Thursday, February 8th, Marin Brewing Company (The Brewco) will release Flake News Russian Imperial Oatmeal Stout. A first one-off release to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Celebrator Beer News, this Russian Imperial Oatmeal Stout is packed with flavors ranging from chocolate, to licorice to coffee to caramel and dried dark fruits.
“The oatmeal rounds out the mouthfeel, and it’s 10% alcohol by volume contributes a nice warm finish,” said Arne Johnson, the Brewmaster at Marin Brewing. He added the beer’s name comes from the use of flaked oats used in the brewing process.
Flaked News will be available in 22 oz. bottles and on tap at The Brewco.
With a limited run of only 100 cases, this brew will be first come, first served. Bottles will retail for $8 each, with a case of twelve selling for $90. There will be a one case limit per person, and if you can’t make it, Flaked News will be available at select retailers throughout the Bay Area.
