AUSTIN, Texas — On Friday, May 11th, Hitmaker Brewing released their first beer, an India Pale Ale. The beer is light-medium bodied with lots of fruit and citrus notes and an assertive, bitter finish. The IPA has a 7% ABV with 85 IBUs. For the beer drinkers in Austin that appreciate hoppy beers, this one packs a punch, but it is balanced enough to enjoy for those who don’t prefer to taste a lot of hops in their beer.
The India Pale Ale is available on tap only at The Hideout Pub, Bender Bar and Grill, Pour House Pub, Violet Crown Social Club, Pour House Pints and Pies, Turntable, Waller Creek Pub and Iron Cactus on 6th Street.
The taproom at Hitmaker Brewing will be opening some time in 2018 and they will be releasing their kolsch-style beer within the next few weeks as well as the rye pale ale, Pale Ryder. The kolsch-style beer is a light-bodied, crisp beer, great for a hot patio. This beer is the perfect every day drinker. The Pale Ryder is a light-medium bodied rye pale ale. The rye makes it a refreshing, summer beer with a bitter finish.
“We’re excited to have something on the market for people to enjoy,” Brian Hyde, Hitmaker Brewing co-owner, said.
