DOVER, Del. — Fordham Brewing’s hefeweizen, Wisteria Wheat, was released in the Mid-Atlantic during the first week of April.
This unfiltered ale has the classic esters of banana & clove, however, the addition of chamomile gives this brew a distinctive but subtle floral nose. At 5.1% ABV, this beer is best enjoyed with Fruit Salads, Mexican Cuisine, and Wiener schnitzel. Wisteria Wheat was awarded the 2012 Wheat Beer Grand Champion of the U.S. Beer Tasting Championships and derives its moniker from the oldest Wisteria plant in Maryland, which is located at the Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis.
Jim Lutz, President and CEO of Fordham & Dominion Brewing, stated, “People know springtime is here for sure when Wisteria Wheat is released. This beer is perfect for the warmer weather, the beach, and barbeques.”
Wisteria Wheat is Fordham Brewing’s Spring Seasonal and is available in six-packs and on draft.
